Version 2.3

A lot has happened since our last release. This update is one of our biggest yet — with new tools to plan and share routes, a much cleaner wind view on the map, and a long list of fixes that make everyday use smoother and more reliable.

New features

Export and import your routes You can now send your routes to other tools or import them from external sources, in multiple formats including GPX, XML, and Navtor. Whether you’re sharing a passage plan with your crew or loading a route from another system, it’s all handled directly in the app.
A better wind barb view The wind barb overlay has been completely redesigned. The map underneath is now cleaner and more readable, with improved display density so you can assess wind conditions at a glance without visual clutter.
Plan further ahead The departure window for optimised routing now extends to 90 days. Ideal for long ocean passages where timing matters well in advance.
Routing report format When sending a routing report, you can now choose the format that works best for your recipient.
Threshold lines on charts Route performance charts now display navigation thresholds as visual reference lines, making it easier to spot when conditions approach your limits.
Stay informed when routes are refreshed A notification now alerts you when a suggested route has been updated, so you never miss a change that could affect your passage plan.

Improvements

The app now automatically selects the right routing form based on your boat’s polar type — one less thing to configure manually. Error messages when routing limits are exceeded have been made clearer, distinguishing between boat performance limits and weather constraints. Route cards are now cleaner when a route is suboptimal, hiding irrelevant data and surfacing a clear explanation instead. We’ve also improved the routing comments layout, the propeller icon on the map, the Getting Started section, and added a notification when suggested routes are updated.

Bug fixes

Fixed visual glitches when a route crosses the prime meridian.
Fixed waypoint action buttons not working correctly on tablet.
Fixed an issue where settings reset incorrectly outside of edit mode.
Fixed lightning layer behaviour — the overlay now clears and refreshes correctly when switching views.
Fixed several display issues on Safari, including in routing settings and the settings panel.
Fixed routing and polar settings not saving correctly across sessions.
Fixed an issue where live route updates were not always received.
